The first session which was an introductory session was held on the 20th of June 2016. Prior to that date, posters and flyers were distributed in the community to inform men about the project and also to invite them to the introductory session. Students from the Health promotion masters class also attended the war room meeting where the project was formally introduced to the community and other stake holders.

About 18 men from the community were in attendance during the introductory sessions. These men suggested different issues which were similar to those identified during the social assessment conducted in the community. These issues were then categorized into five (5) themes which are to be discussed in different sessions for five weeks.
